The amount required for completion of project will be in the region of 140.000 euros. This amount covers high insulation and low energy standards of modern housing including high quality fixtures & fittings.

The 3 to 4 meters wide access road, already built, is approximately 200 meters in length. The first and steepest half was tarmacked at the beginning of 2008 and the remaining 100 meters which run directly along the inner perimeter of the plot are much flatter and thus allow for a more natural surfacing option.

Water has already been connected and the electricity connection process will be finished by the beginning of 2009. 8.000 euros has been paid toward electicity connection.

The administrative center of Apokoronas, VAMOS, with its 24hr health center, mini markets, post office, banks, chemist, schools, police station, and all other shopping amenities is only 3 minutes' drive from the property.

About 6 mins. by car takes you to the main national road, and roughly 30 more mins. in either direction westwards to Chania or eastwards to Rethimno. After a drive of 55 mins. over the mountains you will reach Hora Sfakion on the South coast. The white, sandy beaches of Almirida, Kalives and the wonderful long beach of Georgioupolis are also within near reach by car. Generally speaking, this area is an ideal base for exploring 'your' island.
