The picturesque village of Plaka is one of the most famous and traditional villages in the Apokoronas area, in the shape of a horseshoe on the slope of Drapanokefala mountain, among lush plants and olive groves. About 250 marine caves named Nerospilia scattered around the area are a rare natural phenomenon and an ideal place for cave diving.
