The one bedroom has a double bed and balcony doors which lead out to the large balcony overlooking the pool, the other has two single beds and with balcony doors leading out to the villas entrance patio.
The third bedroom (maisonette-style) is upstairs. Within this room, wooden stairs lead up to two ingle beds on the ondas level; traditionally decorated with wooden floors, high wooden ceilings, a chest, quaint windows, a computer area and another bathroom (with shower). For here too there is a balcony from which to enjoy the views.
At poolside level, the villa also features a guesthouse; ideal for those who want to maintain privacy, or even for you to make use of this extra kitchen, living and rest area- an extra convenience by way of its proximity to the swimming pool.
This poolside guesthouse has an independent entrance, an open plan kitchenette and living area, a slightly separated sleeping area with two single beds and a bathroom with shower.
The uniquely shaped infinity swimming pool, decorated with mosaic and stones collected painstakingly by the owners themselves and surrounded by almond and oak trees, measures 50sqm with depths from 1.1m to 1.9m. The areas around the pool include the furnished terrace, outdoor shower, pergola, sun loungers and umbrellas.
An interesting characteristic is the grape press located on the villa’s grounds. This is a large permanent stone structure where the grapes are placed into after harvest and the owners stand on the grapes to begin the process of making village wine and grape essence.
GAVALOHORI is a year-round village offering a few tavernas, coffee shops and well stocked super/mini markets & bakery as well as a museum and a women’s co-op where one can buy beautiful, hand-crafted & crocheted tablecloths & woven bedspreads, hand-embroidered sheets & towels, etc. Buses to Chania city and neighbouring & sea-side villages leave regularly from the Town square. The seaside village of Almirida with its white sandy beaches is 5 minutes’ drive.
KALIVES seaside village less than 8 minutes’ drive away. Kalives offers 2 pharmacies, a bank, post office, 4 butchers, 3 bakers, restaurants & coffee shops, doctors, dentist, physiotherapist, beauty & hair-salons, 2 gas stations, super & mini markets, clothes shops and a KEP (English-speaking community centre). There are also two stretches of sandy beaches in Kalives, East & West. There are daily buses to the seaside villages of Almirida and Kalives and other neighbouring villages.
