Also the village features the only English award winning butcher on Crete along with our own health centre, petrol stations and a hardware store. 10 to 15 minutes drive in either direction will take you to 3 beautiful sandy prestigious blue flag award winning beaches, of Kalives, Almyrida and Georgioupolis/Kavros. 25 minutes drive will get you into Chania town with its Venetian harbour, a wealth of history and all the shops and bars you could want.
