Melidoni is a traditional farming village in the Apokoronas region at the base of the White Mountains. Buses to and from the city of Chania and neighboring villages pass through the village at certain times of the day. Kalyves is approximately 14km away and all amenities e.g. pharmacy, tavernas, coffee shops, bakery/patisserie & a Kafenion can be found in the village of Agi Pantes a short 8 minute drive away. Vrysses and Georgioupoli are 11km and 18km away respectively.
