Kera is located 20km east of the city of Chania, between Kalyves and Almyrida. It is located at the end of a steep green slope, between Kalyves and Almyrida, which leads to the beach after 500m. The beach combines blond sand and pebbles and is located in a wonderful landscape, with high cliffs at its ends. The sea is shallow and crystal clear. Kera overlooks the islet of Karga to the east, where many birds find shelter. Conversely, to the west, there is a beautiful, elongated rock that the locals call Karavos, because it resembles a ship.
