THE AREA
The location of the house is very convenient as it is “away from it all” but at the same time just a breath away from beaches, bars, restaurants and generally all amenities. The villa is only 1.5 km away from the main highway of the island thus offering quick and easy access to the whole island.
The popular resort of Georgioupolis with its river and the famous longest sandy beach in Crete (about 7-8 km) provides a vast variety of restaurants, a bank and ATM, supermarkets, tourist offices and doctors. The unique lake of Kournas is only 1.5 km away (a walkable distance) where many tavernas offer the chance to explore the traditional Cretan cuisine and the visitors can also go around the lake, whose depth is still unknown, by paddle boats. The airport of Chania is 48 km away while the port of Souda is 33 km. The city of Rethymno is only 23 km away and Chania 41 km.
