This lovely property is in the traditional village of Melidoni Apokoronas, a village located at the foot of the White Mountains. This old traditional Cretan home has been renovated and modernised but still maintains its traditional charm. This home has an extra building allowance of 70m2, a good advantage for potential owners.
The main living/dining and kitchen area is a spacious and light, with a large arch separating the kitchen from the living area. Leading off the living room is the old wine press that has not been renovated but could easily be restored and used as extra living space.
The kitchen is light and modern with an island and cabinets with wood topped counters. The traditional alcove has been maintained, that once housed the old wood oven. This whole area has access to the terrace an outdoor seating space, which is ideal for outdoor entertainment with lovely mountain and sea views.
Across the courtyard are the bedrooms. The two buildings are attached but not connected, something that could easily be rectified in the future if so needed. There are two double bedrooms and a bathroom with a bathtub. There is a large basement under the bedrooms used for extra storage.
The property has a garden with a few olive trees and various fruit trees.
This property with a little work, has the potential to become a good summer rental property. It should be seen to be appreciated!
