Neo Chorio still retains all the traditional features of a Cretan village with a few tavernas operating year-round, coffee shops & patisseries, kafenions, a pharmacy, a primary/junior school and a well-stocked supermarket and mini market/kiosk. The bus stop is just a short stroll away with daily buses to and from Chania city and to other neighbouring villages.
