This stone-built house is located at Tzitzifes in Apokoronas, away from the urban noise in a peaceful and green environment, close to the wonderful beaches of Georgioupoli & Kalives which are only 15 min away, around 30 min from the famous springs of Argiroupoli, Rethymnon and Chania city centre by car.

This lovely traditional style maisonette with its beautiful combination of stone and wood decorated with a traditional and antique style, is situated in a wonderful pure green environment. On the ground floor, there is an open plan fully equipped kitchen and dining space, a living area with a flat screen television, an old broadloom, a sewing machine, a six-seat dining table and a bathroom with shower.

On the upper floor, there are two bedrooms both with an air conditioning system, heating and a spacious veranda with a parasol. One of them has a double bed with a wardrobe and a TV while the other one has two single beds and one baby cot.  The outdoor area has a patio with dining furniture and a retractable awning where you can enjoy your meals or your drink including a private parking lot.

Tzitzifes is an old small village in the inland of Apokoronas, 14 km away from the seaside resort of Georgioupolis. It is at the foot of the White Mountains and due to its small size and distance from the main road, it kept it away from tourism, keeping its pure green environment intact. The village is divided in two neighbourhoods, by a small valley running roughly from the southwest and mountains, to northeast towards the sea. In the small valley there is a small natural spring giving its crystal-clear water until recent years all year round to the village. It was a source of life and a meeting place for the people of the village at older times when every family had to visit the spring several times a day to get water for the needs of the household. Nowadays, it is a nice play to visit during the evening as there is a tavern with great local food during summer. The area has traditional restaurants, taverns with delicious Cretan dishes, a mini market, churches and industries that produce authentic local dairy products with traditional recipes and modern technological methods.
